South Morningside Primary School Girls Football Team

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the South Morningside Primary School girls football team on its victory in winning the prestigious Edinburgh Schools Cup in 2025; acknowledges the team's campaign, having secured success on the pitch, to receive parity with the boys football team by securing an enhanced trophy from the Edinburgh Primary Schools Sports Association, which was the same size as the trophy won by the boys team; understands that the girls football team will be visiting the Scottish Parliament on 12 March 2026; hopes that everyone enjoys their visit, and considers that this case further emphasises the importance of parity in sport to ensure that all children can experience pride in their sporting achievements.
