Ayley Crawford Kick-Start Pretty Muddy Event at Strathclyde Park
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ayley Crawford of Wishaw on being chosen as the official starter for Pretty Muddy at Strathclyde Country Park; recognises her inspirational journey after overcoming cancer with the help of a life-saving stem cell transplant from an anonymous donor in Australia; commends the dedication of healthcare professionals, researchers and donors whose efforts make such outcomes possible; applauds the work of Cancer Research UK in funding research to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer; acknowledges the importance of fundraising events such as Pretty Muddy in supporting advances in cancer research; and wishes Ayley, participants and organisers every success for the event and for their continued efforts to help create a future where more people can live longer, healthier lives free from the fear of cancer.
