Congratulating Dandelion Cafe on Receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Scottish Takeaway Awards 2026

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dandelion Cafe, which is located in Newlands Park in the south side of Glasgow, on receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Scottish Takeaway Awards 2026; recognises that this well-deserved accolade is a testament to the hard work, dedication and quality demonstrated by the cafe and its staff; notes that the cafe has become a valued community asset, offering award winning breakfast options alongside a welcoming space for residents and visitors enjoying the natural beauty, walking trails and recreational facilities of Newlands Park; commends the cafe for contributing to the vibrancy of the local economy and enhancing the visitor experience within one of Glasgow's treasured green spaces; acknowledges the importance of independent businesses in fostering community spirit and supporting local employment, and wishes everyone associated with Dandelion Cafe continued success in the future.
