Success for Orkney Stock Judgers at Royal Highland Show

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Tom Flett from Birsay, Orkney, who has been named the best young sheep stock judger in Scotland at the 2026 Royal Highland Show in Ingliston; understands that Tom was awarded the Yuill Walker Trophy for being the best individual sheep stock judger, a role that requires great expertise and skill; recognises that Tom and fellow Orcadian, Marcus Scholes, also won the senior sheep pairs prize, and congratulates the Orkney team of Glen Sandison, Harvey Reid and Thorfinn Thomson, who achieved third place in the junior category of sheep stock judging.
