Recognition of The Hawick Paper's Contribution to Hawick
The motion
That the Parliament notes with sadness the announcement that The Hawick Paper will cease publication on 30 July 2026 after 10 years of serving the community; recognises what it believes has been the significant contribution that the newspaper has made to the area; thanks all those who have contributed to its success over the last decade, and wishes Jason Marshall, its proprietor and editor, all the very best for the future.
