Lord Falconer of Thoroton moved amendment 2, in clause 1, page 1, line 5, to leave out from “be” to end of line 8 and insert “on the day appointed by Her Majesty by proclamation on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, and subsequent parliamentary general elections shall be every four years thereafter”.
