Lord Rosser moved amendment 1, in Clause 2, Page 6, line 25, at end insert: “( ) The Ombudsman may, after advising the Secretary of State, investigate any matter deemed to be in the public interest on— (a) any aspect of the system mentioned in section 340O(2)(a); (b) any matter relating to the Ombudsman’s functions under this Part; and make a report to the Secretary of State.” The House divided:
