Lord Tunnicliffe moved amendment 12, in clause 2, page 2, line 4, at end to insert—“(5A) In exercising its functions, the Bank must have regard to the public interest in targeting investment in a manner that—(a) improves productivity, pay, jobs and living standards, and(b) reduces economic disparities between the nations and regions of the United Kingdom.”The House divided:
