Regional Assemblies (Preparations) Bill

It was moved by the Baroness Hanham, in Clause 17, page 12, line 5, at end to insert: “( ) in any such referendum, the proportion of those actually voting for the proposition is equal to, or greater than, the proportion given in Schedule (Proportion of electors required to secure a majority) for the relevant percentage of the eligible electorate certified as having voted,”; which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
