To boost morale and support hospitality businesses that have suffered from lockdown with extra days for the public to spend money over a prolonged weekend without work.
Businesses that have stayed open through lockdown can enjoy a much-deserved break from reduced opening hours incl. shops and offices.
People can spend time with those they've missed throughout lockdown and boost spends to help our economy that has taken a hit during this time too.
