Make one instance of racial abuse on social media grounds for a lifetime ban.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Introduce legislation/guidelines for social media companies in which one instance of racial abuse or racist rhetoric on social media leads to a lifetime ban on that platform.
This can be through community guidelines being monitored or another user reporting the post.
There needs to be a way to stop racial abuse that does not impede freedom of expression for those that use social media appropriately. If a single comment can equate to a lifetime ban from that platform this will protect other users from racist abuse as well as showing a zero tolerance approach to such rhetoric.
