Adam Beecroft’s Report to the UK Government
The motion
As an amendment to Motion S4M-01155 in the name of Jamie Hepburn (Adam Beecroft's Report to the UK Government), leave out from “believes” to end and insert “commends the work of Labour Party MEPs who fought for the working time directive and paid holidays and the UK Labour administration that implemented them; recalls the words of the Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism, Fergus Ewing, to the Local Government and Transport Committee on Tuesday 7 March 2006 that the working time directive was “hugely unnecessary and intrusive”, and considers that the only safe hands for the rights and protection of workers are Labour parties in government in Scotland, the United Kingdom and Europe.”
