Victorian Dundee

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the publication of Victorian Dundee: Image and Realities edited by Louise Miskell, Christopher A. Whatley and Bob Harris; recognises that this book makes a major contribution to our understanding of the history of Dundee, telling the story of the city at a time when contemporaries were struck by its energy, optimism and commitment to social provision, and notes the excellent work of the Department of History in the University of Dundee in the fields of Scottish, British and International History.
