Restoration of war crimes unit
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the long-awaited decision by the Minister for Justice to authorise the issuing of a warrant for the arrest of Anton Gecas in relation to the extradition request made by the Lithuanian Government on 28 March 2001; believes that this will be a positive step towards improved relations between Scotland and other European countries, and calls for the reinstatement of a war crimes unit for Scotland.
