UEFA Champions League Final
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates both the City of Glasgow and the Scottish Football Association for ensuring that the UEFA Champions League Final 2002 was an outstanding success; notes the vast amount of work involved in staging such a prestigious event; commends all those involved in the preparation and aftermath; welcomes the potential benefits of showcasing Hampden Park, Glasgow and Scotland across the world to a global audience of one billion people across 200 countries, and hopes that Scottish football, the Scottish people and tourism in Scotland will reap the rewards for years to come.
