Congratulations to Chris Hoy
The motion
That the Parliament sends its congratulations to Chris Hoy following his latest success in becoming World Champion in the 1km time trial cycling event at Copenhagen on 26 September 2002; recognises that this is the latest in an on-going series of achievements by Scottish cyclists dating back to the 1970s, and believes that the future success of cyclists in Scotland would be enhanced by the Scottish Executive and sportscotland working with representatives of the sport to develop all-weather cycling facilities in Scotland.
