Commonwealth Local Government Conference, Aberdeen
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the Commonwealth Local Government Conference, Deepening Local Democracy, to be held in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre from 14 to 18 March 2005, bringing together local government representatives and governments from across the Commonwealth and Europe; wishes the delegates success in sharing best practice in openness and accountability for their citizens, and trusts that all will enjoy their visit to Scotland, deepening the bonds that bind Commonwealth nations together.
