Song for Peace
The motion
That the Parliament supports the Song for Peace project taking place on 21 September 2006, which celebrates the United Nations’ International Day of Peace; recognises the importance of initiatives promoting non-violence, anti-sectarianism and peace in Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom; commends NASUWT, the largest union representing teachers and headteachers throughout the UK, Peace One Day and the Youth Music charity for their efforts in organising this event, and wishes the children from Balmerino Primary School, Fife, every success in singing “No Wars Will Stop Us Singing” in the Parliament on 21 September 2006.
