Christian Blind Mission UK's 10th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament notes that Christian Blind Mission (CBM) treats avoidable blindness in 113 countries globally; further notes that CBM is the world’s leading agency working towards preventing and curing blindness in developing countries; notes that CBM is an independent aid organisation dedicated to serving eye patients and blind and other disabled people in the developing world, irrespective of nationality, race, gender or religion; further notes that Dr Allen Foster, its president, will be travelling from CBM’s headquarters in Germany to discuss its work at the Scottish Parliament International Development Group on 15 November 2006, and congratulates CBM on almost 100 years of global activities to cure blindness and 10 years of organisation in the United Kingdom.
