Congratulations to Hibernian Football Club
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates everyone at Hibernian Football Club on winning the CIS Insurance Cup; believes that the team was a credit to Edinburgh and fully deserved its victory in the final at Hampden Park; recognises that John Collins, himself a distinguished former Hibs player, has achieved this success in his first season as club manager; further recognises that the cup win is a sweet success after so many losing finals and years without a trophy; believes that this Hibs team is now assured a special place in the club’s history having succeeded where so many previous teams failed, and believes that fans across Scotland will not begrudge Hibs its famous win.
