Congratulations to Herald Society Award 2008 Winners
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all the winners and nominees of the Herald Society Awards 2008; believes that the hard work of those organisations and individuals dedicated to public service should rightly be recognised; gives a special note of congratulations to Assist, winners of the Outstanding Public Service Team of the Year award, which works tirelessly for people who have been victims of domestic abuse; notes the considerable range of services and invaluable support that Assist offers to victims of abuse, including referral for refuge and emergency housing, step-by-step advice and support throughout the court process and problem solving suited to each individual case, and wishes the team well and continued success for many years to come.
