Renfrew Ferry Saved
The motion
As an amendment to motion S3M-06011 in the name of Bill Wilson (Renfrew Ferry Saved), leave out after “service contract” to end and insert “by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) to Argyll-based Silvers Marine; congratulates Silvers Marine on winning this contract; also congratulates all those who campaigned to keep a ferry crossing, particularly Renfrew local resident Liz Grant, and commends the hard work of officials at SPT to ensure that a service is retained on the Clyde, with no interruption in service to passengers, while also saving nearly £500,000 of taxpayers money.”
