Congratulations to Aberdeen Forensic Laboratory
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all of the staff at Aberdeen Forensic Services for winning the SPSA Excellence and Innovation Award 2010 for Working with Partners; notes that this was awarded for the exceptional work done in connection with the Super Puma Helicopter tragedy of 1 April 2009 where members of staff from the Forensic Services, Fingerprint Services and scenes of crime officers, along with colleagues from Grampian Police, the pathologist and the Air Accident Investigation Board, worked long hours in difficult and distressing circumstances, and recognises that this was done while maintaining a high level of service to the courts and police in connection with other incidents ongoing at the same time, including a murder and fatal fire.
