EKGTA Annual Awards 2012
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all award winners at the East Kilbride Group Training Association (EKGTA) Annual Awards Ceremony for 2012, which was recently held at its state-of-the-art training centre in East Kilbride; notes that EKGTA has provided employer-led, skills-focussed training on a not-for-profit basis since 1966; understands the continued importance of apprenticeships, skills enhancement and lifelong learning opportunities in the changing economy of Lanarkshire and the west of Scotland, and recognises the special achievements of EKGTA trainees Janice Sutherland of Texas Instruments on winning the Hugh Logan (Learner of the Year) Award and Dale Cassidy of SPX ClydeUnion Pumps on winning the Apprentice of the Year Award.
