The motion

That the Parliament slams the reported comments of George Galloway MP, who allegedly used an expression that had been previously deemed by the BBC programme, Ouch!, to be one of the most offensive that can be used relating to disability; is appalled that Galloway is believed to have used this unacceptable term, which it considers to be deeply offensive; strongly believes that hate crime and bullying are a daily reality for many disabled people and that the use of such language only furthers hostility and violence; calls on him to apologise immediately, and hopes that the Paralympic Games in London will help end attitudes that perpetuate a lack of care for disabled people.
