Limekilns Primary School’s Centenary
The motion
That the Parliament is delighted to note that the centenary of Limekilns Primary School will be marked on 30 September 2012; congratulates everyone at the school, including the headteacher, Anne Marsh, and the Limekilns community, who are planning to mark the anniversary by staging a weekend of celebrations; applauds the successful fundraising efforts of the parent council, which has successfully met its £14,000 target for the centenary events, which include a ceilidh, a centenary lunch for pupils and the community and a parade; understands and welcomes news that the anniversary was also marked with long-term investment that has been used to purchase new playground equipment for current and future pupils, and wishes Limekilns Primary School the very best for the next 100 years.
