The motion

That the Parliament recognises the achievement and developments of Ayrshire College since the merger of the Ayr, Kilmarnock and Kilwinning campuses and congratulates the principal, her staff and the students on developing a hospitality hub at Ayr, incorporating a simulated five-star hotel room to provide an industry-related experience for tourism students; also notes the provision of a simulated four-bed hospital to aid health and social care students, and further notes the start of work on the new £53 million college campus at Kilmarnock and the establishment of a Skills Centre of Excellence at Irvine, bringing together schools, colleges and the employability sectors to provide qualifications in sport and health and social care.
