UHI’s New International Partnership
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) on its continued growth and development and commends its work in delivering further and higher education to the most remote and rural parts of Scotland; welcomes its new partnership with Open Educational Resources Universitas, which, it understands, provides high quality online courses to students across the world through an international network of recognised institutions spread across five continents; welcomes the benefits that this participation in a global network will bring to staff and students at UHI; believes that this demonstrates its continuing innovative approach to future possibilities in education, and congratulates the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clive Mulholland, and his staff on this achievement.
