Aberdeen and Nagoya Turn Blue for World Diabetes Day
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Robert Gordon University, the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian on the successful conclusion of their collaboration on interprofessional education with colleagues from Nagoya University; notes that diabetes, which affects more than 250,000 people in Scotland, was a strong focus of the work; further notes that Nagoya Castle, Marischal College and Robert Gordon University’s Riverside East building were illuminated in blue to signify the World Health Organization’s colour for raising awareness of diabetes; commends the Aberdeen team of Dr Sundari Joseph, Dr Lesley Diack, Dr Morag McFadyen, Mr Patrick Walker and Mrs Jenni Haxton for what it considers to be their important work, and looks forward to more collaborative academic projects between Aberdeen and Japan in the future.
