Congratulations to the Newburgh Community Trust
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Newburgh Community Trust on being awarded £51,925 by the Scottish Land Fund; understands that the trust will use this to purchase Lochmill reservoir and associated woodland and grazing, which is toward the southwest of the town; believes that the purchase, under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, will bring an important amenity into community ownership and control and secure it for future generations’ use, as well as provide an opportunity for the development of improved access and new social and recreational activities, and wishes the trust the best of luck for the future.
