Hope Kitchen Oban
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Hope Kitchen in Oban, on securing an award of £10,160 from the Bank of Scotland Foundation’s small and medium grants programmes; understands that this will cover a funding shortfall in running costs for the next year; considers that this enables the Service Manager, Sue Vest, the Catering Coordinator, Jess Macdonald, the Board of Trustees and volunteers to plan for the future; commends the volunteers for the many hours that they spent completing applications for funding, and considers that Hope Kitchen, which provides food, shelter and companionship for vulnerable and marginalised people, justifies the support of businesses, churches and individuals, which, together with the essential larger awards, will enable this visionary project to continue.
