Cuts to Feed-in Tariff Funding
The motion
That the Parliament notes the UK Government’s decision to cut Feed-in Tariff funding; understands that reductions to the fund have forced community projects to be scrapped, including the business-backed community solar scheme in Springfield in Fife, which was planned as a joint venture between the community and Lakini LTD of Perthshire; commends Springfield Community Council and others for the project, which sought to produce enough electricity to run what it considers a much-needed village hall, and rejects any further cuts to renewable energy subsidy schemes by the UK Government.
