Welcoming the Extension of Freedom of Information Requests
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the response by the Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland to the Scottish Government's Consultation on Further Extension of Coverage of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 to More Organisations; thanks the campaign for what it views as its excellent work and important contribution to the discussion around FOI requests, including extending the range of FOIs to include contractors hired by the Scottish Government and other public bodies, and looks forward to an early introduction of the extensions suggested in the response.
