The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Oban Gaelic Choir on winning the Lovat and Tullibardine Shield for choral singing at the 2015 Royal National Mòd in Oban; understands that Oban Gaelic Choir last won the Lovat and Tullibardine Shield in Dunoon 21 years ago; notes that An Comunn Gàidhealach was founded in Oban over one hundred years ago to cultivate Gaelic literature, history, music and art, and considers that the efforts of Sileas Sinclair, the conductor of Oban Gaelic Choir, Christine MacIntyre, the choir’s Gaelic reader (tutor), and the dedication of the choir members resulted in top marks for music and Gaelic and the Lovat and Tullibardine Shield.
