Scottish Government Funding for Macmillan Benefits Services
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the announcement of £450,000 in Scottish Government funding for the Macmillan benefits services supporting cancer patients in the five Scottish cancer centres in Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness; understands that a cancer diagnosis can leave patients £420 worse off every month, and commends the work of Macmillan Cancer Support to ensure that every cancer patient gets the financial advice that they need to help them cope during what can be such a difficult and stressful period.
