Congratulations to Award-winning Airdrie Writer, Karen Ashe

That the Parliament congratulates the Airdrie-born writer, Karen Ashe, on being awarded a New Writers Award by the Scottish Book Trust in recognition of her work in short-story fiction; understands that Karen, who has been helped and inspired by the Chryston Writer’s Group, has also won several previous awards for her writing and poetry; hopes that she is able to make full use of the award to advance her along the path to completing her first novel, and recognises what it sees as the awards' contribution to the promotion and support of talented new writers in Scotland.
