The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the development and implementation of the Food For Thought programme in Scotland's schools; notes that the programme is a joint partnership between the Scottish Government, Education Scotland and Business in the Community Scotland and is aimed at delivering food education and awareness in schools from nursery to secondary; understands that the pupils are taught to appreciate food sustainability by growing their own food and learning about how to prepare and cook it and when it is ready to eat; further understands that they also learn from people in the food sector, such as chefs, and hopes that the project goes from strength to strength so that more young people can gain a better understanding and appreciation of the great produce that abounds in Scotland.
