Another Successful Year for Hawick High's Saturday Polish School
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Hawick High School’s Saturday Polish School on another successful academic year; notes that the school, which opened in April 2013, offers a wide range of subjects to youngsters and adults including English as an additional language (EAL), EAL training sessions for school staff, support for parents and support with translations and interpreting; praises the school for taking such an active role in the Borders community and for its work in supporting youngsters who find the language barrier challenging, and recognises the valuable contribution that Polish communities make to the Borders and elsewhere in the UK.
