Robert Gordon University and Nagoya University Health and Social Care Initiatives
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the recent visit by health professionals and educators from Nagoya University to Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen; notes that the visit is the most recent development in an inter-professional relationship that has developed over four years and includes research projects funded by the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation that involved project teams in Japan and Aberdeen working together in each other's cultural contexts; believes that Scotland and Japan face similar demographic challenges and applauds this partnership at staff and student level that it believes presents significant opportunities to progress healthcare delivery in both rural and urban settings, and wishes continued success to both universities in their future partnership working.
