Congratulations to Whitriggs Farm and Other New Monitor Farms

The motion

That the Parliament commends Whitriggs Farm, near Denholm in the Scottish Borders, and the eight other new monitor farms for their contribution to improving the productivity, profitability and sustainability of farm businesses through the sharing of best practice; notes the Monitor Farm Programme, which is run by Quality Meat Scotland and AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds, will be run over the next three years, during which the farms will work closely together to examine all aspects of their business and establish an information network across Scotland; believes that the programme has the potential to make significant developments in changing farm business management and practices and improve efficiency, and congratulates Whitriggs Farm, which is run by Robert and Lesley Mitchell and their sons Stuart and Alistair, on its contribution to the programme.
