Mabel Wheeler
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the achievements of 91-year-old Mabel Wheeler from Fraserburgh on running fitness classes in her local church, St Andrew's Hall; commends Mabel's inspiring commitment to a healthy lifestyle by leading 30 of her peers, aged 70 and over, in an array of physical exercises; understands that, as well as offering the opportunity of exercise, the classes also serve as a social outlet by creating a community among the town's older generation; notes that Mabel donates the classes’ entrance fees to the church, and wishes her continued health and success as a community leader.
