Inverurie Specsavers Raising Dementia Awareness
The motion
That the Parliament commends the efforts of Specsavers in Inverurie on undertaking additional training to help it better understand the sensory issues faced by people with dementia; understands that the team is increasing its levels of dementia awareness as part of Dementia Awareness Week, which runs from 15 to 21 May 2017; notes that staff at the Inverurie branch are now recognised as Dementia Friends, and considers that these efforts are a positive development in the provision of a quality, holistic service for all customers, irrespective of their personal circumstances.
