Funding for Coach My Sport CIC Dunblane
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Coach My Sport CIC, which is based in Dunblane, on securing £58,345 from the Young Start Big Lottery Fund; acknowledges that the group currently runs programmes aimed at enhancing motor development skills for children aged between three and nine; understands that the group will use the funding to establish an employability programme aimed at young people who are disengaged from school, or who are not in education, employment or training; further understands that the project aims to equip these individuals with transferable soft skills and practical sports coaching skills that will enable them to seek employment or move into further education; notes that the scheme will benefit 168 young people from across the Forth Valley area, with 18 volunteers providing support over three years, and wishes everyone involved with the scheme the best of luck in the future.
