The motion

That the Parliament recognises the most recent mission of the Scottish Emergency Rescue Association (SERA), which has embarked for Ukraine; understands that the group of nine volunteers will travel in three retired fire engines from across the UK, which will be donated to the province of Poltava in central Ukraine; notes that, upon arrival, the association will also engage in hands-on training with Ukranian firefighters; recognises that, since 2007, the group, which is based in Long Craig Rigg in Granton, Edinburgh, has donated and delivered over 40 fire engines and 10 ambulances that have been retired in the UK to countries such as Moldova, Serbia, Romania and Burundi; notes that the current trip to Ukraine could be one of the most challenging yet, given the low temperatures at the time of travelling, as well as the political situation in Ukraine, and wishes all crew members good fortune on their visit.
