The motion

That the Parliament recognises that a new Haddington street is to be named after the late Vera Ingle; understands that Vera was a prolific charity fundraiser who supported both local causes and national charities, including the Haddington Pipe Band, the Red Cross and, most notably, the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal; notes that the street will be called Vera Ingle Grove and will form part of Haddington’s Letham Mains development, which will see over 800 homes built on the town’s western edge, and remembers Vera’s kind contribution to the people of Haddington.
