Aberdeenshire’s Year of Young People
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the winning entries and everyone who participated in Aberdeenshire’s Year of Young People celebration, which was hosted at Meldrum Academy on 22 February 2019; notes that this event gave young people the opportunity to share with the world what matters most to them and their concerns about topics such as bullying, drugs, climate change, alcohol, homophobia and racism, as well as preserving Doric in the local area; understands the importance of young people sharing their stories, and commends them on reminding the public how essential contributions and input from young people are.
