New Health and Wellbeing Centre Opens at Dumfries House
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the opening of the new Health and Wellbeing Centre at Dumfries House by Cumnock; understands that the centre will be the new home of The Prince’s Foundation’s Integrated Health and Wellbeing programme, which has been operating for two and a half years in partnership with local GPs, and aims to offer people referred to it a range of complementary interventions for a number of conditions, including chronic pain, diabetes, obesity and menopausal health; notes that the sessions on offer include tai chi, yoga, cookery, reiki and mindfulness; recognises the benefits of such practices as complementary, or in addition to, medical treatments; congratulates The Prince’s Foundation and its patron, Prince Charles, the Duke of Rothesay, on the opening of the centre, and wishes it every success.
