World Book Day
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates the 22nd World Book Day on 7 March 2019; notes that over 100 countries celebrate authors, illustrators, books and reading by marking World Book Day; acknowledges that the aim is to support improved literacy rates among children and young people; recognises the value of the £1 National Book Tokens, which are generously funded by National Book Tokens Ltd, and encourages regular reading and the promotion of creativity throughout childhood.
