40th Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the team behind Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival on the launch of its 40th annual celebration, which is due to be held between 24 May and 2 Jun 2019; understands that it is Scotland’s largest rural performing arts festival; commends the organisers on the continued growth since the first festival in 1979; welcomes it bringing together talent from around the world as well as supporting artists from the Dumfries and Galloway area; commends the organisers for their tireless work, not only during the festival but all year round, and wishes them every success for this and future year's events.
