Mind the Music Scheme
The motion
That the Parliament notes that the Peebles-based charity, Nomad Beats, is set to offer music therapy sessions for people with mental health issues; understands that the Mind the Music scheme will give at least 24 such people the opportunity to come together and develop music classes based on their own musical interests and abilities; notes that the charity liaised with an NHS occupational therapist regarding the scheme, and that a £30,000 grant from the Roberston Trust has provided funding for the tutors’ salaries; acknowledges that Nomad Beats is currently applying for additional funding to expand the roll out, and wishes Nomad Beats and the participants all the best for the scheme.
